Old version, but a good one.Feb 09, 2010 If you are required to use this version because of an older OS on your computer, this was a good version. A great product for mainly focusing on organization.
I Love PSEJan 30, 2010 Photoshop Elements is a great photo editing tool, however I would purchase the most current version.
Very complicated for non computer savvy people, but I have high hopes I'll figure it outJun 20, 2009 I wish the manual had more detail, so that I could figure out how to utilize the cool features without having to take a special class or purchase and read another book. Right now I'm able to use it for some features, but I rarely open the program because a couple of free programs I found online can do the main image editing that I need. Great for those who are more experienced and do more with their photography. Save your money if you're not (and just plan on using your photos for the typical uses like showing them to friends/relatives) or take the class/get more instruction. I plan on learning more though since I spent all that money on it and would like to make the most of it's features.
Crashed and burnedJun 04, 2009 When I tried to load the software, my hard drive crashed - computer guy coming tonight for a house call to try to restore........
Stable, fast, intuitiveApr 26, 2009 Read a book on PhotoShop 6, and many of the functions are the same in Elements 5.0. I am a beginner, so I don't need the latest bells/whistles. Made some very nice edits already, like taking a shot of a new Dad in the family with his day old child, and putting Dad's face on the baby. Got a lot of laughs. Also took a before picture of our bathroom, and photo tiled it with the new tile layout. Very helpful in selecting the layout pattern, etc.
